Explorer of Personal Futures
"Not all the futures are open for anyone of us - and still - there are always much greater amount of possible futures you could imagine"
Finding my Direction
"In the times of deepest despair, I found strength in the idea that I could someday be the support I never found for myself. Each skill I learned, all the understanding I collected was for the personal futures - mine and yours.”
My Futures Journey
"This has been long, painful, excruciating and silencing journey. Simultaneously it has an exploration I could not have imagined. All joy and connection with myself and the world around me - to all the futures possible. And I´m no way near done!"
Personal Futurist Essi Erika
This is me — your Personal Futurist
Essi Erika.
I've been where you are. Walked that walk.
That's not a line. It's the reason Personal Futurist exists.
You will never hear empty motivational slogans from me. I believe hope comes from the futures you put your mind and effort into; not from the ones you're told to want. I am endlessly positive, but well grounded in reality. There's a difference.
My priority is not to coach you to "win" or "succeed" in any shallow sense. My priority is to be there when it is genuinely hard to find futures. To support the discovery of futures you want to call your own. Ones that align with who you are, not who you're told to be.
My work focuses on deepening awareness. Of yourself, and of the futures unfolding around you. This is about transformation. Mostly internal, because that is where personal futures are truly experienced. It's not necessarily more. It might also be less. And that can be exactly right.
My coaching isn't about ticking boxes or chasing goals. It's about exploration and direction. About opening doors and windows, and sometimes breaking down a few walls. About communicating bravely and honestly, in all areas of life.
You'll know, intuitively, if my approach speaks to you. You'll know if I'm someone you can connect with. If this is the kind of help you've been looking for.
I am understanding, and I am demanding. I expect you to show up: for yourself. To do the mindwork: for yourself. To choose the courage to face yourself and your futures.
What I've learned — the hard way
No one came for me when my futures collapsed. I lost almost everything, and I mean that with full weight. Bankruptcy. Imprisonment. The complete dissolution of the life and self image I had built and the future I had imagined.
What came after was the most difficult and the most transformative work I have ever done. I rebuilt my self-determination from the ground up. I chose, eventually, to speak openly about it. To take full responsibility for my part, and to carry that openly, not as a burden, but as the foundation of everything I now do.
I've grown to be grateful for that lesson. Not because it was fair for anyone involved, but because it taught me something irreplaceable: no one will come and build you the futures you want. That responsibility is yours.
Internalizing this is where your power lays. Claiming it, is what gives you leadership over your own life. Embracing it will make you your own best ally. You will stand by yourself, as your true self. And in that future, you will also find the people who truly stand by you.
My strength came from imagining I could someday be the support I didn't find when I needed it most.
Where does your strength come from?
