90 minutes. A facilitated group conversation about where each of you is going, and where you're going together.

The theme

While you sense what's next for you, the people around you are shaping their own futures too, consciously or not. Each of you carries an image of the future. So does the group. Sometimes those images align. Sometimes they quietly pull in opposite directions. That's where tension sneaks in: misunderstandings, unclear priorities, or not knowing how your own path fits the bigger picture.

This dialogue is for small groups who share something important, a purpose, values or a direction, while each person also carries their own ambitions. A team, a startup, a creative circle, a family, a local initiative.

Together we'll ask:
Where are you going, personally?
Where are we going, together?
How can those futures support, strengthen and inspire each other?

What a Futures Dialogue is

As Personal Futurist, I speak with people, not to them.

A Futures Dialogue is a group conversation that grows from the people in the room. It shifts and deepens with every perspective shared. Nobody argues a case. Nobody needs to find the one right way forward. Instead, we gather voices and build on them together.

It's about sharing, understanding and embracing each other's experiences. And about the collaboration that becomes possible when that happens. Every dialogue is built on the Beyond Futures Mindset and strengthens communication and collaboration for shared outcomes.

Why I chose this theme

Over the years I've seen that very little can stop a team or community pulling in the same direction. Sadly, I've also seen that very little can save one caught in internal misalignment. Often it's an unspoken conflict, one people tiptoe around. It's a stressor and an energy thief for everyone involved. Most dissatisfied people don't leave physically. They leave mentally, and give the bare minimum. Many of these misalignments grow because the shared vision and the personal motivations of the people doing the work are never talked through together. They're simply assumed.

Who facilitates

Every Futures Dialogue is facilitated by me, personally. My background includes a bachelor's degree in international business, a master's degree in futures studies, ongoing doctoral research at the University of Turku, training as a solution-focused brief therapist, and more than 15 years of building and leading my own company.

In the room, my role isn't to have the answers. It's to hold a space where honest, difficult futures conversations can actually happen.
